First competition for FML clan today and all I've got to say is; FML. F everybody's L in this clan. The trophy could've been ours 5 fucking hours ago but we're all empty handed now. First round was total carnage. What could've been more pwn than ending a game with a score of 44 to 4? And you being the team with the 44 kills. Couldn't have felt better. We could literally feel their frustrations cuz we were in the same room with them screaming their heads off while chasing a Lion that cannot be killed.

The second match, also the semi-finals, fucked everything up. Due to time contraints, the marshalls decided that the winner would be decided by our Kill Death Ratio. This ingenius plan was fucked up from the moment some motherfucker mentioned it. In DotA, you could still win even if you and your team were feeding like some tits. But it was the marshalls decision so we had to stick to it. And guess what. We fucking won. Not a total trash like the previous game - 31-30. We won by 1 fucking kill. The opponents couldn't have been more sore, bitching about the fact that they destroyed more towers but rules are rules dude.

So we won right? Yes we in fact won but we did not make it into the fucking finals. Why was this so? Because three teams ended up in the finals, and when we mention finals, it's 1 on 1, not 2 on 1 or 1 on 2. This also meant that 1 fucking team had to be eliminated, which would be us. The marshalls explaned to us that our K/D Ratio was 1.03 while the other 2 teams were 2 or 7512684 but you get my point anyway. And thus we got eliminated for having the lowest K/D Ratio. Guess what. Apart from our opponents from the second round, I can almost guarantee that everyone else in that room was inferior to us. By a stroke of luck, the pros got eliminated and the noobs got the glory.

TLDR; We lost.

the above was entirely ripped from garri's blog. AKA farmer of Clan FML. Heres my updated version.

First game was total pwnage with a pro enchant ks-ing a first blood from a pottem who shot an arrow. except it was using a creep that she converted. pass.

Second game was kinda fucked. why? because the nerd drafter drafted a ganking build halfway and decided to switch to a pushing one after deciding that the KD ratio would not be taken into account if we won the game before 45min. so what did this nerd drafter do? he drafted dirge potm es, then fucked up the draft by drafting a broodmother and axe, when what he should have done is to pick a puck and a sandking. and whos the imba pro drafter who pwned the opponent with his imba enchant pottem dirge cm and lion vs opponent's alchemist silencer viper tide and sadfhsdfsaoinkl. sorry for that last hero, cos i forgot. ccb, will edit when i find ou what it is. second game was against tinker cm viper veno and vs. pass draft? we still did pretty well and was winning from the start to mid game, but opponent caught up with 30 kills from them to our 29 kills. until this pro pottem went to nc and double killed two heroes, bringing our kill to 31 - 30. and then a pass es blinked into roshan and killed the opponents roshaning, stealing the aegis and dying in the process. so opponent's aegis was wasted. Then he proceeded to noob around by casting echo slam before blinking into the opponent, which spelt a TOTAL FAIL. but we still won anyways. just that we didnt make it into the finals.

woke up at 855 this morning, realising that i was supposed to meet ws at king albert park's macs at 9am today. rushed to bathe and then ran out of the house. reached there around 1030. nice late by 1.5 hrs.

studied with zacxp and jelly until about 1230, then headed to find GARRISON GOH GHIM GUAN. noobed around in sp and did MATHS, because i finished CHEM in the macdonalds. hope all of them pass their exams with flying colours. cos i want colour pencil.

so headed home at around 5pm. and passed my friend money. she got a red dot on her head xD.

heres what happened. Today i got a phone call from my boss saying that a scanned copy of my customer's ic, which happens to be my father, is needed to be sent to starhub or else the sale will considered to be void. I promised my dad that the delivery will be today, and my boss tells me today that the invoice which i sent in last friday isnt processed at all, so my dad couldnt get his maxmobile.

On friday, i told my boss that a scanned copy of the ic should not be needed because my father is already a starhub customer, so my boss said, ok he'll check, and he said that he'll call me if theres any problem. so intepreting what he said, if he didnt call me means there would be no problem. right?

so he chose to call me on wednesday, AKA today, the day of the delivery. upon hearing that, i rushed down to check what happened, and then sent a message to my dad, saying that the delivery will be next week and i borrowed a maxmobile device for him to use for the time being. so when i reached home, being fucking tired after having only five hours of sleep due to some fucking teachers day concert, i left out most of the details because i was too tired and was dying for a bath. so my dad starting ranting and returned the maxmobile device to me, called up singtel, and wanted to sign their plan.

guess what? i was counting on using the commission earned from this sale to pay for the first few months of the maxmobile for my dad. and i guess he doesnt even know that if i sign it via my company, i get a nice commision while if he chooses to call singtel/starhub, i dont get a fucking cent, and best part is he has to pay for for the service activation fee, the device, the sim card, which amounts to at least 60.

hai haise, im blogging from garri's house, happy ndp. noobed around in school for awhile because of some event. CJC was trying to set a guiness word record by making the largest flag out of balloons! ok, so i went to singapore poly to join garri's math class. they have a nice china lecturer there teaching probability functions. i was able to answer the teachers question and chatted with him quite abit there, found out he graduated from NUS with a PhD. wtf.

Later, garri, yujie and I went to lot1 shaw theatres to watch G.I. Joe. epic movie, quite transformers like. best part is each person's tickets only cost $6! the popcorn was HUGE, and the drink was HUGE was well. guess what, it was only medium sized. the large size is 1.5 times the size of the medium. imagine one guy soloing one big tub of popcorn. ccb

Went to garri's house later and im still here. Garri and I were doing pushups and pull-ups every now and then, with some inclined situps. garri pro, nice chest muscles (Y)

Had PE today, new PE teacher! hes quite fun, and quite reasonable. he gives us breaks in between his PT, and he will be my PE teacher for the next year. well, i think hes quite nice la, better than the supermassive blackhole as the hod of PE.

reached home and started doing maclaurin from 6pm to 10pm. i swear, MACLAURIN IS A FUCKING BITCH. 7 FUCKING TUTORIAL QUESTIONS TOOK 4 HOURS. every question differentiate like 19w1294819u4dsriwe2we12 times just to get the fucking question.

Although Colin Maclaurn was a genius who entered university at 11, attained a masters degree at 14, his theories are understandable and brilliant but FUCKING hard to apply. im having a headache now because of him. thanks alot you bitch

the rest of the day passed without anything fun. for the first time, i felt really bored but attentive in class. reached home after thinking i had "something on" but failed so i went to study with wl. hope she gets well soon.

Feels like everyone in my family's getting sick.

Missed school last thursday because i was sick, ended up missing 3 lectures. gg la how to do tutorials like that? Wanted to go find gggs after tkd yesterday, but ended up with him sensing some epic flame from his dad so me and xx couldnt go. so we stayed at home to play dota. the draft match yesterday was spelt with a capital FAIL. nice draft but domxp was tired so he couldnt play well.

I'm turning into a mugger, sigh. went for dinner with rachael after school at around 6pm then went to her house to study from 730 to 930. 2 hours of doing homework, adding on a 3pm to 4pm revision on chemistry - chemical equlibria. i managed to finish the tutorial for it. ok, this is not good. im talking about my tutorials here ._.

walked M all the way home today, right into the street she stays at, a nice 15minute walk. Also went CHS to visit TA, looks like CHS bought 2 Acer NECBooks, really tiny and compact and super light, perfect for my dad -_-

Hai haise, went out today for the whole day again. Woke up at around 11AM after sleeping at 6AM again because some ccb friends of mine by the name of YJ and BT wanted to ton POKEMAUL. n1 I officially have no life nao. So I woke up and did some household chores before heading out for a long one our ride to WestMall, meeting WS halfway at Woodlands MRT and joined YJ and BT for Transformers 2. It’s my second time watching the movie, best part is I didn't even get sick of it, I was actually craving for more \o/

After that, four of us headed to Z and G's house, then LCMZ, CZX and CANNY came, making us a total of 9 people. Headed to Lot 1 to buy bubble tea and slack, then went home. Sorry for not spending enough time with you during the day ):

For the past week, I have done stuff which men describe as "the four vices" apart from womanizing <-- replaced with porn.

First off, people say porn relieves stress, or porn makes you high. So one night, i decided to test this theory. first video opened. stared at it for 1minute, then scrolled through the video. i found it disgusting. until my dad had to walk in. not knowing what to do, i just stoned there, while the video continued playing. FML. Ok so porn is fail, which means porn does not appeal to me, so i will not watch porn. tested intentionally with positive results!

Secondly, drinking. On jashawn's party, i took hard liquor. 79% alcohol. the feeling sucked. i was damn dizzy and couldnt walk straight. but fortunately, i stopped just before i was drunk. lucky megan and amelia sent me home. dont know what i would do without them. the next day, the alcohol was still in my body, felt giddy for the whole day, and did not have much appetite. so drinking sucks for me. at least i tested it out, so i shall stay away from drinking because it reaps no benefits.

Thirdly, smoking. tried menthol light. first puff was terrible, but i forced myself to finish the cigarette. i dont know where people find that "high" from smoking, but i felt like my lungs were trapped and could hardly breathe during the cigarette. smoking is terrible. seriously the feeling sucked more than drinking. the immediate effect i mean. the aftermath wasnt as bad as drinking.

Didn't bother to try gambling because i know the thrill is there when you win. the feeling sucks when you lose, and you always try to recoup your losses by gambling more. so gambling is definitely out.

Look dad, tried all of it, and can safely say that i will stay away from them for a long time to come. im happy i tried it! it was an enriching experience, though it was illegal and wrong. gained exposure finally. And i think there is still alcohol inside me as i type, because i feel kinda giddy now, or maybe because im tired.

I'm sorry for not telling you that i wanted to try it beforehand, but i felt that you would have ALOT to say if i told you about it. so i guess the blogpost way to tell you would be the way to go.

GP Exam tmr, on my birthday. fail 17th birthday. schools officially over for me the moment tomorrow ends! Also have a group meeting with Mr Wee, Adeline, Prem and JLow about some Formula 1 physics concept. Have to do the excersise too >_>

I decided to continue with my 4H2 combination up to end of JC 2 Level, and plan to take up H3 Economics. My parents are stressing me out, wanting me to take an engineering degree when I know its not my area of interest. I rather be in the business world, and I know will be happier at SMU.

My parents wont understand the mistakes I made in my life.
1) Choosing to go JC over poly
2) Not appealing into TJC
3) Appealing out of SAJC to CJC
4) Taking a 4H2 combination and ending up in a class which i hate (kinda solved i think)

They don't ever see the mistakes I made, all in a matter of 4 months. If only i knew, I would be in Temasek Poly taking Finance and Accounting or even at Temasek JC furthering my education. And I know I definitely would be happier at those 2 places. So much for "following the family tradition" just to please my dad.

And seriously, fuck it for me receiving that fucking sentence at the title of my post. So what if I did all those things? It wont fucking change the fact that I'm still your son, and the most potential to be who you want him to be. BUT I WANT TO BE HAPPY, AND I KNOW WHAT I WANT. STOP SETTING GOALS AND HOPES FOR ME, OR EVEN PLANNING MY FUTURE FOR ME WHEN I ALREADY KNOW WHERE I WOULD BE HAPPY.

I went to a JC, doesn't that make you happy enough? Now you want me to remain in my class, Ok so I settled my problem with that bastard. Now I'm alot happier in my current class. until Mr Tan Jek Suan had to call you to inform you about some issues. First call by Home Tutor, Second call by Mr Tan. And you know these 2 calls are because I didn't attend school due to that certain problem which YOU advised me on what to do.

I rather be dishonest and rich than to be and honest man who is poor, because honest men are never rich, and you won't survive in this world if you are poor.

That is why I want to take double honours in Finance and Accounting or Marketing at SMU, because a businessman's pay can never be capped like an engineer or scientists who work under these businessmen. Thy are merely dogs to their bosses who are mostly always businessmen. So explain to me why you want to teach taekwondo and be the head of your own school? ITS DUE TO THE FACT THAT YOU WANT TO BE YOUR OWN BOSS, AND YOU ARE HAPPY TEACHING TAEKWONDO BECAUSE ITS YOUR PASSION.

SO WHY CANT I GO TO SMU TO TAKE MY DOUBLE DEGREE AND NOT NTU? I DONT WANT TO END UP AS AN ENGINEER BECAUSE ITS NOT MY FULL POTENTIAL.

Truthfully speaking, I already have plans to take over the School of Taekwon-Do. That is the only reason why I'm training up my body. Because of the fact which you said "that I'm small sized and people wont be convinced if I am the teacher" or something about "people doubting my abilities because im so small sized". It is NOT because I want to impress girls. I'm definitely much more mature than that.

I don't need a scholarship, I want to pay my way through studies by Taekwon-Do. I'm already trying my best to observe how you teach the students and try to apply these learnings in teaching "Traditional Taekwon-Do".

Either way, whether you believe it or not. I will graduate from SMU with a double degree. Gaming won't be a factor for me like it is for the younger brother.

Slept at 5AM yesterday and woke up at 8AM. 3 hours of sleep -________-. Went to City Harvest @ Expo with Avril, Sharmagne, Grace and Jonathan. Now I know the truth about christian churches. Shall not say anything out of respect for those who are christian <3

Went to eat Burger King with jonny later on. Ordered a BBQ Turkey Burger meal which costed a whooping $7.50 WTF SCAM. Also renewed my concession pass and topped up $5 in my card. So now I has no money =(

Went to library to slack + study, slept for an hour there and then I went home, leaving grace and jonny together at Hougang Mall having their lunch. Reached home, napped for awhile, then turned on the computer to play some dota.

I can't believe that there's a storm at my house now, and after this post I will edit yesterday's. Just because yesterday's post was not up to standard as i was tired out ...

Anyway thanks to my dad I got a cool new skin for my computer. Windows 7 which has gone through some major editing because it looks like vista now >_>! It was originally the system which was going to be released by Microsoft after Windows Vista, so its still under construction I think. But somehow the skin leaked out and here it is!

Didnt feel like posting, was too lazy. Just a quick update over the past few days on interesting events..

on 27th February, did lights for Rockefella <3 watch the video when its out and admire the imba lighting team.. cheryl as my cue reader and me as the lighting person. Also met 2 chio counsellers by the name of irish and cant rmb the other one. But the other one wanted to control the lights so much that i ended up letting her down the lights after each performance and raising the lights everytime the emcee comes on. HAHA. Also had dinner with jon, teresa, avril and grace before heading home. I almost fell into avril twice in the bus while sleeping. Could tell that she was frightened xD

On 2nd March, watched The Pink Panther 2 with jonjon, avril, teresa, and grace. Was seriously a funny video as all of us kept bursting out with laughter.

On 3rd March, had dinner with jon, grace and teresa yet again. Avril has a BIG mouth. Not surprisingly, she finished eating first, and grace finished eating last. Wondered how the hell grace ever ate faster than avril during secondary 2. Avril and I walked jon back to his house's bus stop, ended off saying goodbye while running for the 88 that whizzed past us. Thank god we didnt miss it.

And today, woke up with a backache. Almost missed the bus, causing me to run for it, spraining my back more in the process. Luckily I do not have Physical Education tomorrow.

Ok I havent updated for the last week.. so shall spend some time posting, only because I finally caught up with the homework for the last 2 weeks today, as well as done extra for the next few days to come, thanks to Adeline :D

Had a pretty uneventful day, other than a religion class (I opted for this, between ethics or religion) and was disappointed that I couldnt sit with celestia, only because I had FSV (Film, Sound and Video, A CCA in CJC) duty, setting up mikes, playing the national anthem etc. Good part is I dont have to stand in the quadrangle, bad part is I have to pass the attendance sheet to Adeline, hmm maybe I shouldnt overwork her..

I also had MASS PE! Was kinda own when I ran and completed the run second (First was some sports guy), we then proceeded to do 160 Jumping Jacks, 80 Pushups, 60 crunches, and 20 x 5 seconds leg lifts. Oh yeah, and 20 x 3 seconds "Superman" which is supposed to be done by lying face flat on the floor and lifting your body and feet in the air.

Then had dinner with jonny and sh at long john silver at J8. Walked jonathan home, and he told me something REALLY interesting about his past. also filled him in on what he missed. Finally took 74 home. Turned on the computer and then i saw this really cool picture which only Cat high guys will understand.

I swear that its only 2 days into my full blown academic timetable in CJC and I'm ALREADY DEAD TIRED EVERY TIME I REACH HOME. Almost died of boredom today because I had no matching periods with cdar today. I am falling behind in Economics. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are simple to understand seeing they are just specialization and in-depth learning of O level topics, but this new topic is starting to get to me. Have to stay back in school one of these days to read through the lecture notes thoroughly. Looks like its another humanities subject...

Furthermore, I did not even have the time to play today, was getting my homework done after reaching home at 7.30PM (School ends at 5:30PM) because I ate with grace and talked about my brother from another mother with her. Then rushed home to do my homework.

At least something happy happened today. I compared timetables with her and drew heart shapes on the periods which I will be able to see her <3

H2 Physics Mathematics Chemistry Economics, going to be a goddamn hectic life in jc. Wonder why I even chose JC anyway. Some say it was due to following my CHS brothers, seeing I appealed from SAJC to CJC. Some even say because I want the easy way out of getting into university. But one thing is certain. My favourite singer is Dust in Timberlake.

Well, its 2:30AM now and I'm not sleeping. The reason being is because Guild War is being held now until 4:00AM Singapore time, which is 8:00PM Saturday in server time because the server has a time zone of GMT and Singapore is GMT+8 so... you get the idea.

Went out with weishan and TA today for Valentines day celebration. watched a movie called "The Curious Case Study of 'Benjamin Button'" It was nearly a 3 hour long movie, but the scenes and settings were perfect. I won't spoil it for those who haven't watch it, but it gets 5/5 stars for ratings! Also followed weishan to buy a new DLink router which cost an amazing $219. wtf for subscribing 100mbps connection with starhub. I also bought Acuvue contact lenses, Saline solution and eye drops. total of $86.60 out of my pocket today. woopeedoo. So now im officially broke, because my wallet has no money. On a brighter note, I will be able to see better in lectures during school time!

Went back home around 6:00PM and got ready for Taekwon-Do training. I swear that I am becoming more flexible finally. I went MUCH lower than what I could 3 weeks ago when i attempted a split after being MIA 4 years for Taekwon-Do in Secondary School. I think if I keep up my training I can get 6pecs, arm muscles and my flexibility back in 2 months. so.. JIAYOU DOMINIC TAN!

And lastly, CJC is becoming fun because of my CHS brothers and because of the investment! Ok its time to get back to Guild War and talking to a certain lame person.

Also went out with girlfriend for lunch at somewhere near SAJC, ate her favourite (like I have a choice).. meatballs. I'm not complaining about disliking it or whatsoever, don't get me wrong if you read this <3

Today orientation was fun, but also tiring. Went out to Telok Blanga Park or something along those lines for activities. Ended up with my class losing our way and reaching the other station half an hour late. Also stuck to a girl like glue after we re-arranged ourselves back into our IGs. And she says she invests in me -_-

Also got to meet avril and grace yesterday. Kinda fun saying dust/special fry every 30 seconds causing avril to give that disgusted look. Worse being us being in Macdonalds eating french FRIES and sitting next to a DUSTbin. Me and jon were with avril and grace (obviously), and grace got influenced by us. Ended off the meeting in a bus ride where Avril untied my shoelace -_- and grace saying dust and special fry \o/

Back to life, orientation day was fun in CJC, started off in the morning with Dragon Boating, which my IG, IG09, won the Dragon Boat race. We also had ALOT of water based games, which ended up me covered in seawater, and had sand and salt stuck to my hair, and my hair is really dry now, have to go apply shampoo + conditioner after this post.

After 1 day of orientation in SAJC, I PRACTICALLY DIED, THE GIRLS THERE ARE 80% INDIAN, MALAY OR FAT. furthermore, i got pwned to attend the 2 hour long talk with the principal Mrs Lee, who happens to be LHB's wife ggendplz. So the next day I woke up early and went around singapor with my father to CJC to submit an appeal. I finally got in by 6pm after reaching CJC at 8am.

So now im officially a CJCian. And speaking of results of JAE posting, Professor KC Tan, AKA my dad, has founded the new virus called the L1R5 virus, an alternative to the N1H5 virus, which results in symptoms like breaking out in tears after receiving their data reading of L1R5. It also puts many victims into stress, contstantly worrying about how they should lower their L1R5. Also, the not so known strand of variation, the L1R4, also manages to kill many students' dreams for their future.

So, after your reading of L1R5, how did you fare? Excited that you have a low reading? or bursting with tears because your L1R5 count is too high? Whatever the case, the L1R5 and L1R4 virus is not to be underestimated, Secondary 4s this year, beware.

Notebook issues

Pretty fed up with what happened yesterday. My portable fan beside my notebook decides to blow its fuse, best part of all is, when my brother opened it up, we COULD'NT find anything wrong with it. So ended up i was fucking hot for the whole night while using the computer, because we had NO SPARE FAN.

Secondly, after that night, when i woke up this morning, my notebook was giving off lawn mower sounds with that rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr sound which irritated the hell out of me. I even thought that those lawn mowers were mowing the grass off the field downstairs. To my horror, when i got up, i realised that it was MY COMPUTER. WTF?

So ended up i had to tear apart my computer. I removed the notebook fan and shook it. A whole lot of DUST fell out. thats what you get when the fan overworks due to heat. Excess amounts of DUST building up inside the fan. Thank God the fan is fixed now. Hope i get a new fan soon, currently using the one thats in my parent's bedroom.

Oops, sorry for not posting for the past few days, was busy with a lot of stuff which I shall not elaborate on. Mostly Conquer Online stuffs, managed to reborn a few chars.

FUCK IT 1ST AND 2ND ENCODE OF Asu no Yoichi EPISODE 1 FUCKED UP.

1) First encode was fucked up because after the encode was done i fucking realised that the frame rate of the raw was 120 and it lengthened the bloody video because i had it play at 24frames per second. THE WORST PART IS I COULDN'T CHECK IT WITH MEGUI BECAUSE IT FUCKING KEEPS CRASHING FOR NO REASON.

2) SECOND ENCODE FUCKED UP BECAUSE AFTER CONVERTING FRAME RATE TO 24 FROM 120 CAUSED THE SIGNS TO BE MISTIMED. it was mistimed because the workraw i made was fucking in 120 fps too, which i forgot. just because i was awoken at 8am to do a workraw when i slept at 6am. ended up screwing everything up not once, BUT TWICE.

fuck it, wasted 16 hours of my life encoding this shit which came to nothing. hope the 3rd round wouldn't fuck up.

Yeap, its on the news, O levels will be released next monday 12th january 2009, 2pm @ cat high, WTFBBQPWN? on a lighter note, i have finally decided to choose a JC as my choice, fuck all the poly thoughts now, because:

Top 10 reasons why you should go to JC ^_^

1) JC is 2 years, Poly is 3.

2) Although poly can allow you to skip foundation year in University, that is not a 100% chance that you will be offered the oppurtunity. Even if you are offered, taking it up means losing out on one year of knowledge which you will learn in first year of university.

3) 80% of the uni students come from jc, 20% come from poly and other areas.

4) Even if you may not get into the course that you want if you go in by JC, and poly allows you to take the course which follows your diploma, in the first place, if you have to be in top 20% of the cohort in poly to get into uni, its no different because if you are in the top 20% of the cohort in jc, you can choose ANY course you want in uni because of good results.

5) Scholarships offered by NUS and NTU allows students from JC to pay less than if you were to enter from poly.. i think.

6) For guys, you get to go in army earlier if you graduate from jc, BUT it also means you exit earlier, furthermore, students coming from jc will have a higher rank compared to students entering NS from poly. higher rank = better?

7) in JC, the life will be definitely faster, but that also means you will always be on your toes, so there isn't time to slack, so no chance that you will "deprove" <-- bad english i know, compared to those who go into polytechnics.

8) A levels is more widely recognized compared to diplomas, so if you want to enter overseas university A levels would be better.

9) JC life is an experience which you can never get in polytechnics.

10) JC is still more of schooling, poly is inclined towards working life, therefore in reality, people tend to backstab you more in working life. People also treat you differently if you come from a polytechnic.

With that, I hope i have brainwashed those who want to go to polytechnics hahaha. L1R5 <9 here i come!

Hi once again, was playing Conquer Online 2.0 for the whole day, or rather, leeching for the whole day lol. Take a look:

Notice many people stacking on the same spot? Well the game works this way, the monster will hit the last person on that spot, meaning that usually the tank like an archer with high evasion or a trojan with high defence will be tanking, with noobs like us leeching the exp without getting hit \o/. One night of leeching brought me from lvl 1-67, lmao. Now im creating another charactor to continue leeching! Although this game is pretty old, i kinda like the interface of the game, as well as the gameplay style, only thing that should be improved is the ping to the server. zzz

Ok other than that the day was pretty uneventful, but there was a game where Pluffypizza, one of my friends, scored 47-3 with stealth assassin, HAHA NOOB OPPONENTS.

Hiya, I'm back for some posting again! First news is Amanda's mum gave birth to a baby girl! congratz xD. Second news is about encoding, which i will continue to rant on...

Currently I'm sitting in front of my computer wondering what aerosubs will turn out to be like sooner or later, with everything falling apart ever since our once-great leader Jux left. Now with a retard who pretends to own a successful SME and pretends to be married comes into power..... the great FUCKING EXIAS~ *drumroll* He is absolutely MIA now, last news was he got k-lined from irc by the rizon operators, serve him right for thinking hes an admin, lol. Now I'm hip deep in encodes to do since Exias and Yunno went MIA. Oh right, yunno is an XviD encoder which joined aerosubs not long ago, but he left due to unknown reasons? Damn, just woke up not long ago, currently encoding Kurogane no Linebarrels raw in both SD and HD mkv as well as xvid.

From now on, I'm changing my encoding methods! h264 will be done in 3pass, xvid will be done in 2pass, and encodes which need to be done in speed while mantaining quaility will be done in h264 crf.

HD: 1280x720 MKV
SD: 848x480 MKV & 704x400 AVI

Furthermore, crf settings will be done in these for megui.

Sorry for not being able to post yesterday, was caught up with exams! E Math and A Math paper was relatively simple. Apart from one part of the paper in A Math when i almost lost my cool because I was not able to do 2 of the 7 Mark questions. Panicked obviously, luckily I had 1.5 hours to do them. Spent 10 minutes composing myself, and went on to do the 2 hard questions. Overall, I will safely confirm that I scored an A1 for A Math O levels. XD

When I reached home, was faced with tons of encoding to do for AeroSubs, MnH03, JSM02 and 03. Ended up using all the computer resources available at the moment.

Anyway:

Translation Checkers (TLc)

Summary:

The TLC’s job is to go over a translated script and check the lines the TL has requested help for. Depending on the series, this can range from simple to time-consuming, so there’s a place for everyone. You can think of it as an introduction to translation, or a version that requires less time from you every week. Note, translation checkers have to check every single line against the audio, ensuring that it fits the context, fits the audio, and basically, ensuring that it’s translated correctly. The TLC’s job is also to check for missing lines and rephrase badly-phrased lines. If you’re a perfectionist in language and good in the Japanese language, take this up.

Language:

Fluent in Japanese. Able to explain any metaphor made, cultural references, and all terms along with any explanation needed for the rest of the team.

Workload:

Ideally 2 projects. However, it’s up to your capacity. If you think you’re able to take more, we’re fine with it.

Summary:

There is no need for me to explain this job because if you’re experienced, you should know.

Requirements:
Be available often, and times at least 2-3 scripts per week.
Basic comprehension of spoken Japanese, so as to not make any error in splitting up lines when timing.
Accurate timing.
Fast worker. (Expected to complete a 350 lines script in <2 hours)
Experienced, worked for at least one other group.

We are looking for one skilled and experienced editor who’s capable of taking up the position of the Head Editor in our team. The same goes for the Head Translation Checker.

Hackers steal gamers' currency
MapleStory players blame company for lax security

PLAYERS of the wildly popular online game MapleStory are furious with the company which hosts the game on its servers, Asiasoft.

Tens of thousands of virtual dollars were lost by gamers after Asiasoft's servers were hacked into, and players are charging that the company did not provide them with adequate protection.

Worse, they say, Asiasoft has not compensated them for their losses.

Online forums are abuzz with chatter among victims, and 20 gamers called The Straits Times to complain about being shortchanged.

The gamers, mostly professionals in their 30s, say they have spent up to $10,000 each on the game.

In MapleStory, players fight monsters and complete quests, which earn them in-game currency called 'mesos'.

This currency allows them to buy more powers or weapons for their characters - so they can progress to higher levels of the game - as well as more mundane items like stylish clothes.

But many who do not want to spend hours online to earn mesos short-circuit the process by forking out real cash for the currency.

This makes virtual cash hoards a tempting target for hackers, who aim to plunder accounts and sell their loot for the real thing.

Players say the hacking began last month, and is still continuing. The gamers believe hundreds of accounts have been hacked into so far.

'Every single day, we hear of accounts being hacked into,' said one player, housewife Serena Chiu, 38.

The victims blame Asiasoft's lax online security.

'I've been playing for eight years and this is the first time I've seen gamers affected on such a big scale. American-based games are not as bad, with much more frequent software updates and patches,' said engineer Eric Foo, 34.

Players rejected suggestions that lax practices - such as playing the game in cybercafes, whose computers are notorious for hosting trojans which can log passwords and the like - are responsible for their losses.

Said teacher Sandra Tay, 21: 'The recent hacking cases are nothing like what we've seen before. Players who have never logged into their accounts in cybercafes, or given away passwords, or visited malicious websites, have been hacked.'

Other gamers agreed, saying they are all savvy adults who know how to protect themselves online.

Asiasoft, meanwhile, says such hacking incidents for online multi-player games are fairly common, and that users should be vigilant.

It added that it has taken action to combat the hacking, which it says originated in China, by increasing the number of firewalls for game servers. It has also advised gamers to change their login passwords on a regular basis.

But another beef of the gamers is that they will not be compensated for their losses.

The Straits Times understands that Asiasoft is unlikely to restore the accounts in full or return the virtual cash. However, it is trying to work out a compensation package.

'I've spent $10,000, and a lot of time and energy to build up all my characters and equipment. Now everything is gone...How can Asiasoft just brush off this incident?' asked irate Malaysian gamer Oon Jiunn Siang, 26, a sales executive.

There are questions over Asiasoft's liability.

According to lawyer Bryan Tan, director of Keystone Law Corporation, 'the loss is due to a third party and the server operator may say it is not his responsibility'.

He added: 'The best the gamers can hope for is for the game host to restore the virtual cash to them out of goodwill.'

Police are investigating, but lawyers say this may bring scant relief to victims. The actions of the Singapore police are limited to this country, they say, and it is difficult to prosecute online criminals across jurisdictions.

After reading this, the first thing was to laugh at those people who spent so much time and money on the games, and the second thing was to laugh at them again for being a total moron.

SERIOUSLY SPEAKING, WHY ARE SINGAPORE'S TEACHERS AND IT ENGINEERS PLAYING MAPLESTORY. one day they will include maplestory in syllabus and probably build mushroom-shaped buildings. What total bullshit is this.

Electrolytic Cell
As electrons flow from a more reactive metal to a less reactive metal and the flow is from negative terminal to positive terminal, more reactive metal at the negative terminal; less reactive metal at the positive terminal.
The more reactive metal will be oxidised into ions and electrons. Thus the amount of Metal will decrease.
For example, if we have copper and zinc at the positive and negative ends respectively:
Negative terminal Half Equation: Zn (s) -> Zn2+(aq) + 2e

Zinc is more reactive than Copper, so Zinc will be at the negative terminal.
As the positive terminal will be reduced, the metal at the positive terminal cannot be reduced because metals cannot have an oxidation state of -1/-2, so the metal ions in the electrolyte will discharge.
Positive Half Equation: Cu2+(aq) +2e -> Cu(s)

Copper is less reactive than Zinc, so Copper is at the positive terminal
Note that The concentration of the electrolyte does not change throughout the experiment.

For the full equation, balance the half equations and the positive and negative terminal, and remove the electrons from both sides.

Step 1: Put them together.
Zn (s) + Cu2+(aq) +2e -> Zn2+(aq) + 2e + Cu(s)
Make sure that you have the same number of electrons on either side.

Step 2: Remove the electrons.
Balanced equation Zn(s) + Cu2+(aq) -> Cu(s) + Zn2+(aq)

Electrolysis
At the cathode, the cations will discharge. Usually Copper is used as the electrodes as it is inert (non-reactive).

If it is lower than hydrogen, the cation will be discharged. e.g. for Aqueous Copper Sulphate

For the anode, anions will discharge. Note that nitrate(NO3) and sulphate(SO4) ions cannot discharge.

To electrolyse metal salts above the reactivity series of hydrogen, or if the metal is insoluble in water, use molten state to electrolyse as water ions are not present.

Had a very "exciting" day today, with mainly loads of work to be done in school! I scored 36/38 for physics mcq test. *nerd* ^_^. My notebook is spoilt, left it in school for repair. turns out the fan was dry with the grease lacking, TA made me run out all the way to bishan market to buy a bottle of WD-40. At least he helped me apply it on, thanks yo!

So now im using a tablet which has NOTHING at all, apart from MSN and wireless? so i had nothing else better to do but blog, study and more study. sigh.

Today will be the last day im touching draft games. just pub all the way now, maybe 1 game per day. not so bad before i sleep. I will score the following in my o level cert.

Chinese A2/B3

Actually im hoping that chinese can get A2, very happy already. and i really have to put in ALOT of effort into Geography and Chemistry if i want to score A1s. Human geography is hard ~.~

and i still want spectacles.. someone buy for me please..

Mugging chemistry and physics today, have to score both A1s for O levels. haiss wish my chemistry can be as strong as my math. Studied for 6 hours today, but i also played for 4 hours zz. At least i studied quite alot, quite contended with myself that i can actually study at night where i would be tempted to play.

And english oral is in 2 days! O levels here i come. woopeedoo..
